Tank Storage Receipt (TSR)

A terminal's receipt confirming product is held in a named tank for a title holder; routinely faked as 'proof of product'.

A Tank Storage Receipt (TSR) is issued by a storage terminal confirming a quantity of product is held in a specific tank for a named title holder. In legitimate trade a TSR is verifiable directly with the terminal. In scams a forged TSR is the centrepiece of a POP package, often paired with a fake dip-test and an "authorisation to verify" that conveniently never connects you to the terminal. Confirm a TSR with the terminal by phone, using contact details you sourced independently, not the ones the seller provided.

Related: POP, dip-test, Dutch procedure.
