Pre-screen any counterparty in under 10 seconds.

Paste a company name, individual, or vessel. We check it against OilFlow's first-party-investigated fraud cluster blocklist and return a risk band. One free pre-screen per email per UTC day. Not a regulatory KYC — see the disclosure below.

1 free check / email / UTC day

Paste the entity exactly as it appears in your intake form. We strip punctuation and case before matching.

Used for quota and follow-up only. No marketing automation. See our trust page.

Four steps. No signup beyond your email.

01

Paste the counterparty

Company name, individual, or vessel IMO. We accept what your intake form already captures — no special formatting.

02

Confirm your email

One free pre-screen per email per day. Compliance leads only — we use it to send the result and follow up if a hit needs context.

03

Get the result

Cluster match (yes/no with severity), sanctions corpus context for the jurisdiction, and a risk band you can route on.

04

Decide your next move

Clean? Onboard with documented evidence. Hit? Escalate to a full 7-step KYC via the Counterparty KYC API — same evidence, regulator-ready dossier.

What compliance officers ask before they paste a name

Why does this need my email?

Quota enforcement (1 free check per day per email) and so we can follow up if a hit needs context. Your email goes into our compliance-team inbox, not a third-party CRM. No marketing automation, no third-party tracking.

What data does the check run against?

OilFlow's verified-fraudulent cluster blocklist — counterparties we have first-party investigated and confirmed (Simar Chahal Chevron-CEO impersonation, Adeel Russian-oil mandate chain, Ahmad Pinnacle layer-cake, Russia-Türkiye dark-fleet, and continuously-added new clusters). Severity tiers: confirmed / likely / suspected.

Why don't you show sanctions list details?

The free tier is honest about its scope. A full 7-list sanctions screen (OFAC SDN, OFAC Consolidated, UN, EU, UK HMT, Canadian SEMA, Australian DFAT, Swiss SECO) plus PEP runs against OpenSanctions and ships a structured dossier — that is the paid Counterparty KYC API.

I am a compliance officer at a bank. Can I run more than one check per day?

Yes — start a Counterparty KYC API trial or buy a Compliance Suite seat. Pay-as-you-go starts at $25/screen with sub-30-second async dossier. We will not lift the free quota for individuals; we run it on every email and ask paying customers to upgrade.

Does a clean result mean the counterparty is safe to onboard?

No. A clean result means the counterparty did not match a verified-fraudulent cluster in our investigated corpus. Documentary KYC, jurisdictional license verification, and ongoing monitoring all still apply. The free tool is a pre-screen, not a clearance.

What if I hit a confirmed cluster?

Stop the onboarding. Document the hit. Email the result to your line manager and your bank's MLRO. If you can, contribute the counterparty's broker chain back to the cluster intelligence corpus via the Compliance Index contributor channel.

Beyond the pre-screen

Run the full 7-step KYC pipeline — 7-list sanctions + PEP, company registration via OpenCorporates, jurisdictional licence check across 79 jurisdictions, trade references, asset confirmation, scam pattern detection — via the paid Counterparty KYC API.
