Tank-to-Vessel (TTV)

A real loading operation whose upfront 'injection' fees are a common advance-fee scam hook.

TTV (Tank-to-Vessel) is injecting product from shore tanks directly into a buyer's chartered vessel at the loading port. It is a genuine operation, but in the scam circuit a "TTV procedure" is offered with a demand for upfront "injection" or "tank-rental" fees before any cargo is verified — the classic advance-fee structure. Legitimate TTV follows a confirmed tank allocation, a named terminal, and inspection by SGS or Intertek; it is never gated behind a wire to an intermediary.

Related: POP, Dutch procedure.
