What does this check?›
Whether private (non-state) parties can export a petroleum product from an origin country and import it into a destination country, based on OilFlow's Regulatory Matrix of product-tradability rules, payment-term constraints, and licence requirements across 235 jurisdictions.
Does a clear result mean my deal is legal?›
No. It means no private-party tradability blocker was found on the lanes checked. Sanctions screening, export/import licence verification, KYC, and counterparty due diligence all still apply. A country with no rule on record returns a clear result with an explicit 'verify with the regulator' note, absence of a rule is not a clearance.
Why are some countries missing from the dropdown?›
The dropdown lists jurisdictions with a tradability ruleset currently in the matrix. Coverage expands continuously toward all 235. If your country isn't listed, treat it as 'no rule on record, verify with the regulator.'
How is this different from the Pre-Deal Copilot?›
This tool answers the narrow tradability question for a product + lane. The Pre-Deal Copilot takes a full proposed deal and returns a sub-30-second clearance probability, blockers, and a restructure suggestion: the sanctions pre-screen, the fraud-cluster match and the tradability rules combined. Adverse media is not measured today.
