WTI (West Texas Intermediate) is the US crude benchmark, delivered physically at Cushing, Oklahoma. Lighter and sweeter than Brent.

After the 2015 US crude-export-ban lift, WTI became increasingly relevant to global flows — Midland-spec WTI is now a Brent-basket candidate.
